On Tuesday we were delighted to welcome The Romanian Ambassador to Ireland – Laurenţiu-Mihai Ştefan to our school. Some of our Romanian speaking children from 6th class took him on a tour of the school and he met with some of our Romanian families too. The Hazel class welcomed the Ambassador into their room and the Romanian children in the class wore traditional Romanian clothes. The children asked him some interesting questions about Romania and his role in Ireland. Romanian is one of the most popular languages spoken in our school and community. It was a pleasure to have him visit us!
