What a day out for our two teams in a superbly organised Tyrrelstown Cup finals day in partnership with Tyrrelstown GAA. The boys final kicked us off with them playing against the Gaelscoil to compete for 1st place and for the Larry McDermott Memorial Cup.

The boys played exceptionally well and matched their opponents for skill, determination and fight. They were unlucky not to score a few of their chances in what was a very hard fought game right until the end. This meant that the boys finished second in the cup for the second year in a row which is some achievement in itself! Well done lads and a massive well done and congratulations to our neighbours Gaelscoil an Chuilinn who played with respect and skill. Maith sibh.

The girls were matched against their league rivals, St Luke’s in the 3rd place Plate final. The game was hotly contested with both teams missing early scoring opportunities. The scores were tight at half time with all to play for. The girls stayed calm and grew in confidence in the second half putting away many of their scoring opportunities to take the win at the end. Fair play to St Luke’s who kept fighting until the end and were unlucky not to catch us. And a massive well done to our girls team who took home the Plate!

Go Panthers!!!
