We were devastated to learn that our school was broken into on Thursday night, 15/9/2016. 3 intruders were caught on CCTV at 9.20pm on Thursday. If you noticed any unusual activity on Powerstown Road or Damastown Road on Thursday, or on the lead up to the burglary please contact Blanchardstown Garda Station who are investigating.
Damage to school:
Two exterior doors required replacing, as well as numerous interior doors and door frames. A considerable amount of damage was done to phone lines and our alarm system, both of which were fixed on Friday. Locks on storage cupboards, filing cabinets, lockers and safes were broken in their search for cash on the premises.
Online Payment
Parents, guardians and friends, we strongly encourage you to make payments online! Please use our secure e-payments via Aladdin to pay any fees/charges. We want to minimise the amount of cash received by the office.
No Cash on premises
Powerstown ETNS will no longer keep any cash on the premises. Parents/Guardians if you must pay by cash, please ensure you have the EXACT monies as we will not have any change in the office/school.
Increased security:
The security and safety of our pupils and school community is our main priority. All visitors and staff must sign in through the office. No persons are permitted into the school building without consent from the office. Visitors will be given a visitors badge.
If parents/guardians wish to schedule a meeting with staff, please make an appointment. You will be asked to sign in the visitors book in the office. A member of staff will meet with you and bring you to the room for the meeting.
Parents, guardians and friends, we appreciate your support and understanding!
