Well done to all staff and the Lime Class for participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge
ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
All the staff in Powerstown ETNS have accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge. This will take place on Wednesday 3rd of September at 1.30pm in the basketball courts at the front of our school. All children and parents are invited to attend and are asked to donate generously to The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. To Donate for the #IceBucketChallenge text MND to 50300 to donate €2 (100% of text goes to IMNDA across most network providers. Some providers apply VAT which means a minimum of €1.63 will go to IMNDA. Service Provider: LIKECHARITY. Helpline (01) 4433890) or by drop money into the fundraising bucket on Wednesday.
How will it happen?
All staff will sit on plastic chairs in the Basketball courts. Lime class pupils will stand behind staff and after the countdown, will pour ice cold bucket of water over each staff members head.
The Lime Class have also asked to be involved in the ice bucket challenge. Lime class parents, please sign individual permission slips to permit a member of the school community to pour a bucket of water over your child’s head.
I hope you can make it on Wednesday, if not, it would be much appreciated if you could allow your child to donate money before the challenge commences!
