In 6th class, we are reading the novel, “Under the Hawthorn Tree” by Marita Conlon Mc Kenna. The story is set in Ireland during the Great Famine. To improve our understanding of the story, each group chose a scene and created a freeze frame. The rest of the groups had to guess which scene in the story they were reenacting. It was great to study our novel in a different way.
