On Monday we celebrated the European Day of Languages in Powerstown with classes getting a taster of some languages from our talented multilingual staff members! Some of the languages included Russian, Polish, Spanish, Mongolian, Hungarian, Portuguese and Spanish. They learnt how to write their names in Russian, dance flamenco and heard different stories and sang songs! Children also shared and tried a variety of tasty food from different countries.
Children from 4th – 6th class joined in a table quiz in the hall on Thursday with each round covering a different theme – flags, capitals, languages, landmarks, and facts about languages.
