From 10th – 14th of January we are celebrating Engineer’s Week @PETNS.

Children will participate in a range of Science experiments including Guzzlers, Windmills, static energy, jumping energy, just to mention a few! We will take lots of photographs to show you!

As part of Engineer’s Week children will also go on a number of Field Trips.

 

Junior and Senior Infants are travelling to Imaginosity to a “Can YOU Build it” Workshop

Imagniosity are asking can YOU build it?  In their Engineers Week workshops, as part of National Engineers Week, children are invited to try their hand at making Box Monsters that really move!

1st and 2nd class are attending Junior ECO-Action Environmental Workshop ProgrammeECO-UNESCO’s ECO-Action programme consists of a range of workshops covering a variety of environmental issues. Each workshop has a duration of 1.5 hours and works around the theme of Energy! It fits really well with our work for in energy conservation as part of the school’s Green Flag Programme!

 

Visiting Engineer

We will be learning all about the different types of Engineers. We will have a visit from an Engineer who works in Blanchardstown IT.
