We had a fabulous end to the year today with our end of term Assembly.
All our students, staff and many parents and friends joined us in Betania to celebrate the end of term.
We had amazing performances by our school choir, conducted by Linzi; our Maple class and also the Betania Choir, (which included our staff members Oana and Sarah) and musicians. They were all phenomenal!
Children from all classes spoke about what they were grateful for this academic term and what they were hopeful for, for the year ahead. It was remarkable to hear our children speak so confidently in front of such a large audience. The voice and agency of our children is the foundation of our ethos. It makes us as a school more accountable – by recognising and acting on our young people’s contributions. It means that our planning is informed by the real views and perspectives of our young people. Our students benefit from this participation; it contributes to their skills, power, confidence and enjoyment. Most importantly, is develops their belonging to the Powerstown Community
It was great seeing children in all classes join in with our winter songs and have room to dance and bop along with our school choir and we loved having parents and friends join in with us.
Thank you to our friends for Betania for allowing us to use their amazing facilities and Dani, Betania’s resident photographer for our gallery of photos.
Thank you to all the staff, pupils and parents for a fantastic term 1.
We wish you all a very happy Holiday Season and Best Wishes for 2023!
We look forward to welcoming you back to school on 5th January
