This week the Chestnut Class are celebarating World Animal Day on October 4th by having an Animal Week. Children will be making lion and tigers & talking about how to properly look after pets.

On Thursday, October 4th all children and parents are invited to bring their pets to school from 8.30am – 9am.

In order for this to be a success, all pets need to be brought to school by parents and must leave the school with parents.

We want all children to be involved! Therefore on Tuesday we will send home a worksheet for children to fill out with their parents. This will help prepare the child to speak about his/her pet to the class on Wednesday. If your child has not got a pet, we would appreciate if you would help him/her create a “dream pet” and complete the worksheet.

On Thursday morning, pupils and parents will come into class with their pets or a picture of their “dream pets”.

Every parent and child will be encouraged to speak about their pet. Pupils will be encouraged to ask questions.

Parents then take home all pets when they leave.

If you have any questions, just ask us. If you have a pet you want to bring in, please let us know! Thanks
