Today marked the beginning of our biggest garden project for this year courtesy of Stepping Stone Forests.

We spent the day covering the ground with cardboard and mulch to prepare the ground for when the trees will be planted in the new year following the Miyawaki method. All going well, we will have a dense, healthy new forested area of native trees in just a couple of years!

We would like to say a huge thanks to Stepping Stones Forests and Blakestown Drive Community Group for the huge amount of help and guidance in achieving this project, and also to Amazon Web Services for funding us. #AWSinCommunities

Thank you so much to all the parents who provided cardboard for the project and those who came to help today. Your support is so greatly appreciated!

We would also like to thank The Lunch Bag for sponsoring food for all our volunteers who worked up a huge appetite from all the hard work!

Stay tuned for more updates later in the year on how this project progresses!
