Powerstown Educate Together PTA are organising our next Bag2School Clothing collection on the 9th June.

You can donate any unwanted textiles (in usable condition) to include:
- Men’s, ladies and children’s clothing
- Paired shoes (tied together or with an elastic band around)
- Handbags, ties, belts and hats
- Soft toys
- **Bedding, curtains and towels can now be accepted at a rate of 10c per bag – please bag separately**
Items not accepted:
- Duvets, pillows
- Blankets, cushions
- Carpets, rugs, mats
- Soiled or wet clothing
All textiles should be in good condition for reuse in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.
Our school will receive a fantasic 40c a kilo / €400 per tonne which will be a great boost for our school fundraising. We are currently saving towards playground equipment.
The Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice will also receive an additional 10% from Bag2School. The Laura Lynn House is the only children’s hospice in Ireland.
Their mission is “The Children’s Sunshine Home cares for children with life miniting conditions, and their families, by providing high quality transitional care, home support, respite, crisis and end-of-life care. Our services are available to children with high medical and nursing needs from birth to 18.”
Please try to fill as many bags as you can, don’t forget to ask gransparents, friends and neighbours to have a clear out too! You can return clothes in any kind of bag.
Please return your bag (or bags) to us by Friday 9th June at 9am.
Many thanks for helping us with this fundraising opportunity!
