Parents/Guardians,
If you would like to assist with various activities and events in the school such as shared reading sessions; field trips; school tours and lots more, you will need to apply for Garda Vetting via the school.
Please note all parents and guardians who wish to help in Powerstown ETNS MUST be Garda Vetted first.
If you applied in October 2021, you do not need to apply again
Anyone who was vetted before October 2021 will need to apply again.
To do this, firstly go to our parent page for information on the E-Vetting Process – Then bring along the following documentation to the school:
Note: Please specify which role you would like to be vetted for, e.g. Shared Reading Volunteer, Field Trip Volunteer, Winter Fair Volunteer. Forms that identify their role as ‘Volunteer’ without specific detail are not accepted by the vetting office
2. Provide proof of ID and address – Please note: The ID must be accepted under the NVB 100-point checklist. The ID is verified by the principal and who will then forward the application to the National Office.
3. Photocopies of the ID and address document documents. (Please note that the school is not in a position to photocopy documents. You must provide your own copies)
Applications will be accepted from the 10th – 21st October 2022. (Applications received after these dates will not be processed)
**Application forms along with the relevant documents should be put into a sealed envelope & placed in the green box outside of the office or you can send them into the class teacher.
