Today the committee met with Caterina from the Green School Organisation to discuss our Travel Action Plan in order to earn our Green Flag for travel.
We discussed the need for more people to walk, scoot, cycle, carpool and park and stride to school. The advantages of going ‘green’ are: Less Pollution, Safety, Healthier, More Sociable
The committee agreed it was more fun to walk or scoot or cycle to school. The majority of the committee when asked how they would like to travel to school choose a ‘green’ method instead of the car.
We reviewed our Bike Week activities and found that there was an increase in the amount of students who traveled green on our ‘COW’ day on Wednesday. We encourage students to continue to travel green when they can.
